Trilogia da Matéria

The Trilogia da Matéria was built over the past five years and has as its central issue the discussion about the “materiality” of modern life, the body and its needs, the perception of inevitable death and the pursuit of pleasure in this short time of our lives .
Cyborg Manifesto (2008-10) discusses the identification of the contemporary man within his own body and the possibilities to transform it and rebuild it using the new technologies, its decrepitude and inevitable bankruptcy. Naked Landscape (2011) approaches two seemingly distant themes: fashion and death, reflects on death, on the end of this body as an aesthetic allegorical event, and translates the only way death can apparently still become visible today: as a spectacle . Amerika! (2012) concludes this research discussing all that is needed - or thought to be needed - to keep this body alive and healthy, even through the unbridled consumerism, in an endless search for this “kind of” happiness, stamped, very colorful and playful , in absolutely everything you can buy.
